Our Community
Hill Township is an area in northeastern Michigan that is 36.1 sq. miles with more than 20 lakes. Most of the lakes are known for their water activities such as boating, fishing and swimming. Our lakes grace us with the presence of Loons, Ducks, Blue Heron, Eagles, Osprey and more. The area is also known for its beautiful wooded areas with amazing wildlife such as Deer, Fox. Grouse, Racoons, Pheasant, Bear, Coyote, and more. People come here to enjoy many of the outdoor activities throughout the year.

HILL TOWNSHIP IS SEEKING LAWNCARE BIDS FOR THE 2026 SEASON
SUCCESSFUL BIDDER MUST BE LICENSED, INSURED AND BONDED. THE BIDS WILL BE SEALED AND MUST INCLUDE THE TOWNSHIP HALL AND TRANSFER STATION LOCATED AT 4985 TOWNHALL ROAD, HALE CEMETARY AND DEMOSS PARK. PLEASE CONTACT SUPERVISOR ROB REID @ 989-889-6896 FOR SPECIFIC LOCATIONS AND ANY QUESTIONS.

Due to changes in the postal service, we are no longer accepting post marked dated tax payments. Therefore your taxes need to be received by the actual due date listed on your taxes. Final due date for the year will be March 1, 2027, then all non-paid taxes will be turned over to Ogemaw County Treasurer.
"AllPaid" will not be active from March 4, 2026 until July 1, 2026.

Transfer Station:
The transfer station is for Household trash, recycle materials, and Scrap metal only. Please make sure recyclables are cleaned before bringing in and all boxes are broke down!!
We DO NOT ACCEPT any building materials, paint materials, petroleum products or furniture.
Tires are allowed at the cost of $7.00 per tire!!

ATTENTION:
The Transfer Station has 2 cleanups per year - one in June and one in September most always on the 3rd Saturday of that month.
Items allowed:
Furniture, Appliances (NO FREON - must be certified freon free)
All materials must be boxed, bagged or contained so one person can handle it.
